Jasmine Cannon is an award winning filmmaker and a leading journalist of her generation. She has been doing journalism since she was 10 years old and has never strayed away. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in telecommunication and film with a focus on sports broadcasting, Jasmine decided to express her passion for future generations as a Teach For America corps member where she taught 7th grade math for two years. She went on to study documentary storytelling as a Master's of Journalism Candidate at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Jasmine currently works in various capacities in the television and film industry, primarily in documentary.
